This week we're wrapping up Matthew Chapter 5. In this section of Matthew Jesus is teaching about the value of our word especially when we consider that God can see past technicalities or false promises. There is a general theme in most of this section of scripture that emphasizes the reality that God knows our hearts which essentially means that God knows our motives and intentionality.
We then move into how to properly address our “enemies”. Who is our enemy and how do we treat other people? There's a lot here that may seem like a “no-brainer” but if it is then I pose the question Why do we still struggle with it today?
